The Academy for Sustainable Innovation (ASI) is excited to announce new climate resilience programming offered in partnership with three New Brunswick Chambers of Commerce.
Working in collaboration with the University of New Brunswick’s Pond-Deshpande Centre Green Horizons Initiative, the Chambers of Commerce for Fredericton, Greater Moncton, and the Saint John Region are all ready to offer the Climate Resilience for SMEs program to local businesses.
This step demonstrates the Chambers’ strong leadership and commitment to supporting their businesses with improved resilience, competitiveness, and continuity.
The program helps small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) understand the risks that climate change poses to their operations, employees, and bottom line.
Participants will learn how to protect their businesses from climate impacts, turn sustainability into a competitive advantage, and take action to strengthen long-term success.
Chamber members will have year-round access to a custom online learning course, along with an in-person workshop co-hosted with each Chamber in March 2026. New Brunswick-based businesses are encouraged to visit their local Chamber’s website to learn more and register.
The initiative is part of ASI’s national Climate Resilience for SMEs program, supported by Definity Financial Corporation. ASI works directly with Chambers of Commerce, Business Improvement Associations, and Boards of Trade to develop customized online learning courses and deliver in-person workshops that they can offer as value-added services to their members.
The goal is to help local business owners better understand the climate-related risks and opportunities that could affect their operations in the years ahead.
At this time, ASI’s Climate Resilience for SMEs program is full. ASI is actively seeking funders, partners, or donors to be able to offer the program to future partners at subsidized rates.
