The Academy for Sustainable Innovation (ASI) is thrilled to announce our new collaboration with the Zero Emissions Innovation Centre (ZEIC) to bring leadership training to the Women4Climate program.
This past week, ASI’s CEO, Tamara Connell, was on site at the Women Leading the Way to a Clean Economy event where 75+ women and non-binary folks were in attendance to hear from past Women4Climate alumnae and to learn more about the launch of the 2025 Women4Climate program in Metro Vancouver with a focus on innovations in high emissions sectors and climate-focused policy.
The 2025 Women4Climate program is comprised of three core components, designed to accelerate the program participants’ capacity for championing climate action: mentorship, training, and networking. Through this partnership, ASI is supporting the overall program design as well as leading the training component of the program. The training will consist of several in-person workshops along with a couple of online webinars, the content drawing from ASI’s six Transition Leadership competencies. Both mentee and mentor participants will receive a Transition Leadership Certificate from ASI at the culmination of the training.
The Women4Climate program hosted by ZEIC is an exceptional opportunity to better support women and non-binary individuals leading the way to a low-carbon, socially-inclusive future. We are humbled and excited to be able to play a part in hosting the leadership training component, working collaboratively with esteemed practitioners in the region as guest speakers and facilitators. We cannot wait to welcome the latest cohort of participants, and to support their critical work.
