TD provides grant to support ASI’s Climate Action for Nonprofit Leaders course

The Academy for Sustainable Innovation (ASI) is pleased to announce funding from TD Bank Group to support ASI’s Climate Action for Nonprofit Leaders course.

Nonprofit organizations are essential in delivering services such as housing, food security, senior care, and more to communities, yet they remain chronically underfunded. The growing impacts of the climate crisis are adding to these challenges, putting their ability to plan, deliver, and adapt services at risk.

Funding from TD will allow ASI to offer the course from March 26 – April 23, 2025 at a subsidized price. The course is designed to help nonprofit leaders incorporate climate action into their strategies and daily operations, even if their organization’s primary focus is not on environmental or climate-related issues.

While environmental non-governmental organizations (eNGOs) are welcome to participate, the course is beginner-friendly and focuses on helping organizations with little or no experience integrating climate action into their work. The course provides nonprofits with resources to begin their climate action journey, adapt to climate change challenges, and continue supporting and serving their communities.

“We’re very appreciative of the generous funding from TD, and we look forward to soon welcoming a new cohort of nonprofit leaders who are ready to take their climate action leadership to the next level. This key audience is so often forgotten within climate change conversations and investments, and we’re excited to be able to serve our nonprofit peers with this course.” Said Tamara Connell, CEO, Academy for Sustainable Innovation.

“At TD, we are dedicated to helping drive meaningful social impact. Through our corporate citizenship platform, the TD Ready Commitment, we are proud to support organizations like the Academy for Sustainable Innovation, which empowers nonprofit leaders with the knowledge and strategies necessary to integrate climate action into their initiatives.” Said Robyn Small, Senior Manager, Philanthropy, Sustainability & Corporate Citizenship, TD Bank Group.

Course registration is now open for Climate Action for Nonprofit Leaders. Save $50 on registration until February 21, 2025.
