Case for support

As a registered charity, ASI’s mission is to grow the capacity of climate action leaders who can catalyze meaningful change in their communities and workplaces.

This Giving Tuesday, we ask for your support to help us deliver two vital educational programs in 2025 that will shape the future of climate leadership.

Four colleagues are gathered in an office, engaged in conversation. One person is seated in a wheelchair, and three others are standing. A large screen displaying graphs is in the background. The office has exposed brick walls and large windows.

We need your help today

The climate crisis is one of the most complex challenges of our time, and solving it requires more than just technical know-how.

It’s not enough to know what your organization needs to do to create change. You also need the right people and leadership skills to get others on board and work together to make it happen.

Yet, the soft skills – how we inspire teams, engage organizations, and collaborate – are rarely emphasized in Canada’s university programs.

That’s why ASI is focused on developing versatile soft skills people need to bring sustainability to the forefront of decision-making across all sectors.

How your donation will make an impact

Youth Environmental Leaders Learning Lab (YELL Lab)

YELL Lab, a 5-week program, empowers young adults (18-30) to connect with peers across Canada and explore key climate action topics like systems-thinking, collaboration, storytelling, and conflict management. Participants will discover how to align their skills with meaningful climate career opportunities.

Young climate action leaders face financial barriers and age-based discrimination when pushing for climate action. Your donation will ensure this program remains free for participants and will help young people overcome these challenges and reach their full potential as climate action leaders.

Climate Action for Nonprofit Leaders

Nonprofits play a crucial role in supporting our communities by providing services like housing, food security, senior care, and more. However, they are chronically underfunded and now face growing challenges from the climate crisis, which threatens their ability to plan, deliver, and adapt their services to an increasingly uncertain climate.

This 5-week program guides nonprofit leaders through a process of integrating climate action into their strategies and daily operations. Your donation helps make this program affordable, enabling nonprofits to focus on their community impact while also advancing climate action.

Make a Donation

Donate as often as you wish, whether it’s a one-time gift, a monthly commitment, or an annual contribution—every donation makes a difference.

Your donation to ASI will support our leadership capacity building programs, empowering climate action leaders to advance sustainability efforts in their organizations and communities.
