Helping Canadians see themselves as climate leaders
Generative artificial intelligence (AI) has become ever-present in our day-to-day lives in just a short time. From document summaries, to meeting assistants, to generated images, to schedule and grocery list maker, and so much more, AI has seeped into our working and personal lives. It’s all happened so fast, without much space to stop and consider: Are there net benefits to using AI, and does AI have a place in climate action?
There are countless examples on both sides of the conversation of “is AI good or bad?”, including the use of AI to generate misinformation and skyrocket our energy consumption, and on the flipside, more efficient data collection and interpretation to help us with the time-crunch of needing to take climate action now.
So, does AI have a place in climate action? Join us to participate in an open conversation as we navigate this question together.
