Designing and Instructing Transition Leadership Courses

We design courses to fit your needs – customizing the content, format, and delivery method that work best for you.

Our courses focus on climate action and sustainable leadership and are built upon our Transition Leadership competencies framework.

What is Transition Leadership?

Transition Leadership is the capacity to understand, implement, and inspire positive change to build a sustainable world. It is a set of skills that help you navigate complexity and create value that’s good for people, good for business, and good for the planet.

These competencies shape all of our education and training programs.

Who we've worked with

ASI created and currently instructs two four-week online Transition Leadership courses for Royal Roads University: Climate Action & Transition Leadership and Collaborative Leadership for Climate Action.

These can be taken individually or as electives in the Climate Adaptation Fundamentals Micro-Credential.

ASI created and instructed the online course, Climate Action for Nonprofit Leaders for the Ontario Nonprofit Network and their members.

This is a beginner-friendly course was designed to help nonprofits understand how climate change impacts their work and explore ways to integrate climate action into their mission.

ASI co-developed the Youth Environmental Leaders Learning Lab (YELL Lab) with The Starfish Canada.

The was a five-session online program for youth (ages 18-30) to build relationships with their peers, learn new concepts that supported their leadership journey, and helped to progress their career in environmentalism.

We collaborate with our clients and learning partners to create and instruct Transition Leadership courses

We customize the curriculum, duration, mode of engagement (live or pre-recorded; online or in-person), and assessment components to match your unique learning goals and audience.

Our courses focus on climate action and sustainable leadership, equipping leaders with essential non-technical skills to lead progress toward a low-carbon, socially inclusive future.

Who we’ve worked with

Royal Roads University

ASI has designed, developed, and currently instructs two four-week, online Transition Leadership courses through Royal Roads University.

Climate Action & Transition Leadership and Collaborative Leadership for Climate Action can be taken alone or within Royal Roads University’s Climate Adaptation Fundamentals Micro-Credential as an elective.

Ontario Nonprofit Network

ASI created and instructed the program Climate Action for Non-Profit Leaders for our partners at the Ontario Nonprofit Network.

This online program spanned four weeks, providing non-profit leaders with an overview of climate change implications, an exploration of Transition Leadership skills, and actionable steps for implementing climate action within their organizations.

The Starfish Canada

ASI partnered with The Starfish Canada to co-develop the Youth Environmental Leaders Learning Lab.

This program, consisting of five three-hour online sessions, was designed for approximately 25 youth aged 18-30.

The goal of this program was to foster relationships among participants nationwide, explore leadership concepts, experiment with new models and tools, and support career advancement in sustainability and environmentalism.
